The Sounds Of
SUSAN
WEDNESDAY 21.15
1. Best side one, track one of all time:
Is this love- Legend Bob Marley... actually this could also be my answer to Q5 and Q6.I have a massive love for this tune and anything by Bob is brilliant to be honest.
2. How do you organise your records? Chronological? Alphabetical? AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL?
Chaos reigns but I'm starting to be a little more organised as my collection grows. I have solo artists and bands on separate shelves. Compilations of House,Techno and Motown, of which I have many, are kind of separate.A separate space for singles and 12 inches, that's as far as I've got,
It's on my to do list to be more organised.
3. What is your favourite vinyl / music related movie quote?
This isn't a movie quote, as I couldn't think of one, so I thought of some lyrics from Bang The Party- I Feel Good All Over which say," If music be the food of love, play on!"
I did a little search and found this quote that really stood out which says, "You see, eventually your music will help put an end to war and poverty. It will align the planets and bring them into universal harmony, allowing meaningful contact with all forms of life, from extraterrestrial beings to common household pets."
George Carlin as Rufus in Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure.
4. What is your white whale album?
I don't have a white whale album but truly believe that if I am meant to have an album it will present itself in front of me, the universe will provide it for me . I do not have loads of money spare so most of my collection comes from charity shops, car boots and generous donations from friends and acquaintances for which I am enormously, forever grateful
5. What is no-skip, all killer no filler album in your collection?
Santana- Abraxas is my no skip, all killer no filler album.
6. Best album closer of all time:
My best album closer has to be Summer Breeze by The Isley Brothers on their Forever Gold album.
